What is Telekit?

What do I need?
A Mac on macOS 12 or later, Apple Silicon or Intel, and a Telegram account.
Do I need Claude, Codex, etc?
No. Telekit supports Claude Code, Codex, Grok, or OpenCode but if you don't have or don't want to use any of those, Telekit comes with an agent built right in!
Is this a chatbot?
No. Telekit allows you to talk to AI over Telegram by connecting you to a coding harness like Claude Code that runs on your machine. You can use it as a chatbot, but the potential is much greater!
What if my laptop is closed?
Telekit includes an optional feature to keep your laptop awake even when the lid is closed so you can keep the conversation going from anywhere, anytime!
Do I need the app open to use Telekit?
No. The app lets you configure Telekit, set agent personas, and manage skills — but it does not need to be open to use Telekit. Every configuration setting can also be changed from Telekit itself.
